My mpc 3000 recently started dropping out midi notes in my sequence. I've recorded notes using a motif-rack module. When I solo the midi track all notes are there, but when I play the entire sequence notes seem to be missing. Its never the same notes missing. Is there a way to fix this problem? Can anyone please help.

I am having the same problem. I have the Mansell labs operating system on order so hopefully this corrects it. But if anyone does have a fix for this I would be very happy.

thanks for your reply, I am running two synth's off the MPC and using sampled drums internally on the MPC. One synth is running bass (out midi output A) and one synth is running string pads (out midi output B). So there isn't a high amount of notes happening at the same time. However you may be right as when the bass track is solo'd none of the notes drop out at all.

FYI - I reset the parameters under the 'option' screen and it seems to be fixed

I'm only using 6 midi tracks and the melodies are quite simple, so I don't seem to overstand why notes are fighting for their own particular space?

What options screen are you referring to on the mpc 3000 ??? The closest thing that I've seen displaying options would be under program/sounds. I can select one of the nine functions.

There's an option key. That's what he is referring too.

Its actually the OTHER key

Can someone give me a step by step guide to get to this option button or menu because I can't seem to find it? If I select the Disk button under Commands I see that I can choose system parameters which is selection number 6. If I choose it, I have the choice to save the parameters settings. Is this what you all are referring to?

Sorry to be ignorant on this matter and its frustrating me because I never had this happen before. I'm well within my limit of notes so I don't see why this is happening.

Sorry,

I meant the OTHER key.

1. Press OTHER
2. Hit INIT PARAM soft key
3. Keep working.
