Turntable playing to fast....

So i got my turntable for about 3 months now.
And today i noticed that it is running a little bit to fast both on 33 and 45...
It is a simple belt driven turntable from akai itself...
Is there anything i can do?

yeah put a weight in the centre that may sort it out m8

^^ stressing the motor is not very......elegant You also have to find out the weight you need to get a correct bit... ah I mean pitch.

I would open up the turntable and looking at the electronic and try to find a trimpoti on the PCB or maybe on the motor itself. If the engineers had a good day they left some hints on the PCB.

Found out that when i put the turntable in another electric connecter he just plays fine...
Wierd but it works now again.
Is this a commen problem?
