About loop in release?

I read that it's possible to press one pad with a looped sample, release it and it sounds continuously in loop (playing with the decay). It's true?
because i tryied but the decay acts in a few seconds...

I dont think that's true on the 2000 or the 2000xl... some other machines do that though

I know the 2000xl does loop in release...can't speak on the 2000.

You probably have the decay set at the default value (5)...turn the decay up to 100 and you'll hear it continue for a long time after the pad is released.
