hey, i know its been talked about before, and yes JJOS2 (not xl)

but whats the score with the FX1 setup as so...... "to FX2: YES send: 0"

its never really worked properly, or is it specific to some fx types only.?

its doing my head in, ive got fx1 reverb, sending to fx2 delay, and its working at 100, but even at 0 its still sending to fx2.

it should be attenuated to zero no?

yo arebee -

yeah, this bug has always existed & it's a pain.
if i remember correctly, JJ said that this was an akai bug and that he couldn't correct it.

but this was years ago. maybe if you hit him up with a new request he could fix it.

yup i might just do that, y'reckon jj's armed with more nous than before? or mbe as he's built up JJOS2XL from the ground up, he may have the key to unlock the joy of sends at last!

yeah btw does it do it in OS2XL too?

been dabbling in os2 normal last few days though' so didnt check.....

ok - something weird is going on here in 2xl.

i tested it running phase shifter to REVERB... and it worked fine. :D
as soon as i loaded up the DELAY in fx2... it didn't work. :(

also, only reverb and delay fx give you the option of setting the mix level. all the other fx only give you the option of YES or NO if you want to send to fx 2.

dunno whats going on there. send to reverb works fine but send to delay doesnt. i'll hit JJ with a request and see what he can do. at least he has it partly working in os 2xl.

yeah it seems to be ANY use of Delay in EITHER fx 1 or 2 slots, disables the level mix of send from fx1>fx2, either on or off is all thats available.

could it be a legacy akai problem, is that what someone once said, like it cant be fixed?

also - i noticed recently that any stereo or panned signals get through to the reverb as mono, as opposed to others like the delay that retain their pan settings as they get effected.

JJ just said yesterday that it cannot be altered as its a specification of the original FX.

:(

yeah, it sounds like he is just unable to change it for some reason. maybe changing it would screw up a bunch of other low level stuff in the os. oh well.
