I'm sorry if this has been covered before.

I'm looking to use a pedal or something similar to remotely enable overdubbing or punching in / out as per the manual:

Two foot switch inputs allow functions such as Play/Stop and
Punch In/Out to be remotely controlled.

The scenario, which many of us have probably come across, is playing the keys, practicing the riff and getting in the groove but then having to get out of it in order to enable overdub.

I'm not too familiar with the Punching In / Out option as I usually just use the overdub key.

Thanks for any tips or suggestions.

Get two footswitches from a music store, the kind that keybaords use for sustain pedals. I use some by Hosa.

Get two because you can set them up to trigger play start and overdub. You can also use them for Timing correct and if I remember right I could latch the TC for rolls using the footswitch.

I use them all the time exactly for what you describe (keep playing and switch into overdub) with my 60 and with my 1000.

So have you tried punching in/ out using a footswitch yet?

The footswitches are often overlooked/ underused, I would like me a nice pair...
