help for a beginner appreciated

first off let me state i am new to the mpc 1000 so please excuse if this is a dumb ?... for some reason when i purchase drum kits, download off the internet everything converts just fine to my mpc except for patched phrases, EVERY time i cannot play them on my machine. they play on the computer and they show up on my mpc but will not play/ load...nothing...is there an extra step i should be taking...any help is greatly appreciated...

I think they do on the JJ OS.

You could try just chopping the sample through Audacity and loadin it up..
