Starting with the sample

Alot of the time I dont think about the actual tempo i just put shit together so it sounds right with the sample im working with.

I 'll find a sample first , chop, then stretch if i need..

chop up some samples add some layers and filter/effects. save it. forget about them. come back to it later. put down some simple drums and listen to those samples again. an advantage is when i get home from work i don't have to sample and tweak sounds i just load my new kit.. make a huge program w/ samples for days.. a couple different drumkits and just vibe on those sounds for awhile..im lovin it right now...

I always loop / or chop the sample . Ill find a nice way to fit it , then ill lay hihats and drum loop over.

incurablebeatlust thats just the way of working Ive been doing since the middle of the year and I find it a lot more productive.

cos then u can come back to the same sounds and flip them in different ways and build up groups of beats on the same vibe.
