Ok so I have a dicky back button on my MPC1000, I have to press it VERY hard and 4 or 5 times to work. I have had all tact switchs replaced with more industrial components and for some reason its still that one button that does not work. Can it be possible my main board is busted?. I have the option to buy a VERY cheap MPC1000 would it be worth getting it to use the main board from?.

I paid $100 to have all the tact switches replaced and the MPC I can buy is not much more then that and could use the parts.

take it back apart see if you may need to redo the switch or the switch itself could be bad, but if you got multiples go out just get the whole pcb replaced

it's probably just that one tact switch... i highly doubt it's the entire board thats faulty... i'd just try spraying the tact switch with some DeOxit contact cleaner before going all out and buying another MPC for parts you probably don't need... just spend $16 for the 2-pack of DeOxit at radio shack instead... it works wonders and is handy to keep around for other audio equipment as well...
