Finally I got the first MPC that I ever owned back in my lab:

I have been trying to get this back after I sold it to a family member in 2007. Fortunately for me, he didn't really use it that much. I actually missed having my XL around and I wanted to get one a few month ago, but found a 3000 instead. So now I have the trio of them.

nice.

i've had 4 2000XL's in my time, so far...

it's like my first girlfriend, it always comes back to me or i go back to it. can't seem to totally leave it alone.

looks like your fam kept in in good shape. screen working good on it still?

the XL is a great piece to have around the studio. i always made bangers on it.

i like the feel, swing and sound of it.

right now i'm rocking an MPC 60 MKI, MPC 2500SE, Ableton Live and Pro Tools. i get busy with all of them, but wouldn't mind having another XL in the collection.

good luck with it. hopefully it will inspire you to make some bangers with it.

Yep. The screen is perfect. I was a little worried about that myself. lol. It is the MPC that I have the most experience with and I was looking a few months ago for a XL and instead found a 3000 and copped that. Then the opportunity to re-obtain my original 2000Xl was too good to pass up. I work the fastest on the 2000XL and I do like the sequencer too.

Stop. You are giving me ideas! After I saw Clint's collection, I wanted a 60 also. But I have to stop myself. Three MPC's are enough right now for me. (lol)

yeah but the 60 is only 2 digits and not like the other models with 3 or 4 digits (ie: 500, 3000, etc) so what's two more small digits in the collection? It wont take up that much space and wouldn't bother anyone.. plus the mk1 has an arm rest! That means it counts as a piece of furniture.

Since you put it that way! (lol) By it being only two digits, it MUST be smaller and won't take up that much room! (lol)

Two would have been enough but my 2000Xl is the first one I ever bought. I bought it back for sentimental reasons. I still have my first serious guitar too. Those two items will be passed down to my grand kids when I have some.
