Hello Everyone,

I'm currently running my MPC1000 with JJOS1 and am thinking about upgrading to 2XL, mainly for the looper and hold functions, but I know it has lots of other handy tools.

My main questions on the looper were:

- Can you record into the looper from the from the MPC's output?
- Can you send the loops to pads/programs?
- Does this make recording a loop to the exact tempo of a song without having to trim? (i.e. setting the number of bars)

Basically if it works in pretty much the same was as the SP-555's looper that would be fantastic, as I tend to build up riffs pretty quickly this way and really like working in this environment.

Many thanks!
Dan

i would like to see someone create a video showing the joys of looping (and audio tracks too for that matter!) since they are two areas i have never bothered with  and i may be missing out

From what I recall it will do those things you ask fairly easily.

MY only problem with the looper is that the loop point is not smooth. It always has a 'click' in it. Not so much a problem for many sounds and can be fixed with a little fudging in the trim page but it is there none the less....

I like to loop sustaining and pad type sounds so this kinda sucks for me.
