You double fail if you're hitting up blogs to get the same shit 100 other **** downloaded too. Real diggers aint gonna give you shit for free cos they worked hard to find that shit. The folks running these blogs should go & die.

I can guarantee that i got stuff that none of you fakin jack clickers are gonna find on blogs or torrents. Get out of your house & make some real world moves...you'll be rewarded for it. Thanks.

LMAO@ You!! Drop links or stop talking, ni**a. I let music speak for itself. I hate ni**as that run thy mouth and can't make a beat that sound decent if that sh*t was pre-made and packaged for you....

I need to do this.

I've bough so much crap at car boot sales that I need to offload some. It's proving to be a mission though... I went to a sale last week and got 100 records for £3! I was only really interested in about 10 albums but the dude insisted I take the lot off his hands!

I don't think there is any wrong way to find samples, but "internet digging" cannot replace diggin' in the creates.

To me, it is much easier to find interesting samples on vinyls, and, like I said before, there are just so much songs and sounds that are not available on Internet.

And, to me, it just feels right to sample from vinyls than sample from downloaded files or CDs.

But, most of all, digging vinyls is fun! There is absolutely no chance the "internet digging" (so called) would match that aspect. Those who think it can replace diggin' in the creates, they are missing a lot.

A big advantage of diggin' in the creates is that you are more likely to find dope and unexpected sounds from the record you did or didn't know. I've find a lot of dope samples from dollar bins and records I found on the streets (as garbage.)

With internet, you always start from artist (or keywords) that you already know... It is less likely to you to find something totally new to you.

I do use classic drum machine samples which I downloaded from internet. I just don't trust downloadables, so I always check each samples for quality and whether it matches descriptions or not. I do admit there are a lot of sound files on internet.

In terms of quality, lossless format files do not mean that they sound good, I encountered bad sounding FLAC files many times.

1. Your not dope if you don't use an MPC/or another piece of 90's gear
2. Your not dope if you don't use vinyl
3. Your a bad beatmaker if it's not in a certain format

C'mon... get outta here with this...

I'm breaking all the rules then... There is not right or wrong way to do it and people who try to force you to see it their way or your whack are asses.

Enough of this back and forth.... I'll have a fine time with my MP3s, VINYL, and whatever else I choose to sample from and I'll make it on whatever I choose to make beats with....

My Philosophy on E-diggin
===================

Music = Language of the Soul

Regardless if the music is sampled from vinyl, mp3, flac, wav, etc. etc. it means nothing. the end product is the ONLY important and defining factor of a producer's method's.

You have some who dig in stores and still make crappy music, you have some who dig only online and still make crappy music. so to only say finding music from 1 type of location rather it be physical, digital or otherwise is some hip-hop purist bull****.

I don't care if you sample off of a Nokia 8600, if what you make in the end = dope music, then thats ALL that matters.

with that said, E-digging vs. Physical-Digging is a pointless debate. Show me the end product

You can sample what you like, thats no issue, sometimes I bring a recorder and sample odd sounds of the outside world and make a beat out of it. My point is, stop calling internet searching, diggin'. Its not and its an insult to real vinyl collectors that actually DIG and look for vinyl. Its like collecting art, it came from an era before we was born, you can hold it and feel it and stare at the art. You can play the record and it feels like your sampling a living soul.

So put your **** heads together and think of a new name for your mouse clicking charade, because diggin' is taken.

I'm not debating the digging term.... I'm pissed about the fact people smash those who use any audio that's not vinyl.... like it's blaphemy or something...

Of course it's not e-digging.... but it's semantics.

I actually whole heartedly agree with this statement.

Don't matter what you use, or how you use it. End result is the most important. Good music is good music. Whether its made on an mpc, logic, abelton, reason, a korg triton, motif, etc. etc. etc. What does matter, is if you are using sampled material, royalty free samples, loops, etc. or stock patches in hardware software and personal touch is added. The sound or sounds are manipulated so the "creator" does indeed have true ownership of the soundwaves emitted.......its original and not pre-programmed or some puff daddy loops of old soul.
