It doesn't look like the type of screw that would need a washer... so you've got a hole missing a screw and a screw missing a washer.

I took mine apart the other day as the back panel kept giving me electric shocks.
I didn't go near the pads though but the only washer I remember coming across was the grounding for the earth behind the back panel. I'm guessing you didn't need to take that off though.
The flat one confused me too.. I concluded it must have come from the front panel next to the memory card slot, the holes sunken in so that screw sits flush with the panel.
I ended up with 2 screws and no holes

That screw goes on the back of the case towards the center of the machine. Right by the midi port.

on my MPC1k that's the screw that goes on the front of the MPC (the part of the faceplate through which the CF card is inserted)

Actually, let me change what I said, You're right the SCREW is on the front face plate where the CF card goes. The washer is where I said it was on my previous post
On another note, why didnt you pay more attention to where everything came from or at least place the screws on a table in the orientation they came out.

Thanks all! Under the front face plate I had actually forgotten both screws
, but I found the missing one.
Haha, I always have problems with extra screws, so as soon as I had two out I realized I better set it up so that didn't happen. And it woulda worked too if wasn't for my darn cat!
He decided to come over and mess with them. I had to run to throw all the screws into a container.
I opened the MPC up to put in new pads, but I was waiting on a CF HD replacement as well before I sealed it back up. By the time I put it back together....Anyway, best laid plans an' all that.
Thanks again!
