Pad triggering

Okay is it possible to trigger two pads simultaneously with one on the MPC4K?

I'm familiar with stacking sounds Program>Zone window but if there's a filter or adjustment to the ADSR on that pad it applies to all sounds stacked on that Pad.

So when it comes to layering chopped drum breaks triggering two pads with one pad would be better for me to apply tweaks to the Filters and ADSR per pad.

If you want to play 2 (or more) different sounds from one pad and be able to set the parameters and zones etc differently for each you need to select a keygroup.

Have a look through the sticky Links to Tips & Tricks threads lots of useful info in there

easy to just layer two different programs on the main screen.. so whatever is assigned to the pads of both programs will be triggered when you hit the pads.. Each track allows you to very easily layer two programs without having to set up or use keygroups..

Thanks you all have put me on the right track to figure this out. Key groups in the manual doesn't really touch on this clear enough for me.

for mQueue and Nyarlathotep and Sean key group wise:

I got it to where once I converted the drum program to Key group I was able to go into the Program>KG Mix>Pitch> there I was able to set the Span Low Hi 0>127 for both samples to trigger at the same time.

This will work for me when I'm just layering my drum hits in my drum processing downtime.

For Ibunshi: I will use this method as well when I'm pushed for time make sense also.
