I'm going to write a JJ OS version of my 'Beat Making on the MPC' book, and was wondering which JJ OS people would prefer me to write it for. Ideally I'll eventually do one for all JJ OS (there's already one for the free 3.12 OS), but I want to make sure the next one is the one most people want.

Let me know, plus feel free to post up any tutorials you'd like included. Any feedback would be welcome!

Coz wrote:XL is the only OS that's evolving and has the latest features... It just depends if Tutor can type fast enough to keep up with Nym's additions!

Lol, that's what always stopped me writing the book in the past. Continual OS updates are great for end users, but a nightmare for anyone writing books about the OS - by the time the book is finished you have to start again and re-write half of it!

xl. definitely.
let me know if i can do anything to help.
at this point i think it's safe to write for os2xl as it isn't being changed fundamentally (unlike 1 and 2 as jjos was developed over time.) i think it's safe to say that 2xl is where it ends.

new features should be pretty easy to write in.

For me the XL os is the only os that is in need of thorough manuals / tutorials. With every other os for the 1k I've literally been able to figure out all that I wanted to know just by playing with the machine, no manual needed. BTW, I have never used os 2.

this is great news! (from Nym)

i'm sure JJ will notice an increase in sales of 0s2xl due to an e-book being released....

Definitely worth the money to have an XL tutorial in my opinion, as someone who's been using the JJ OS since it first came out, but never always have the time to catch up on certain features.
What happens to me is that I end up printing out a few things from JJ and I got papers scattered all over the place.
So to have a tutorial that's kept up with the latest additions is ALWAYS a valuable reference guide as well for when it's time to catch up. :)
