2000xl & other gear or 4000?

When you say 'Especially the mono polyphony to have the pads cut each other off and because it has 6 sound banks instead of 4.' , man that's no sense... really.

You can program cascades of simult-mute pad that will give you so much control that the lack of AUTO-MONO will never be a problem... Same apply to sound banks: you don't need more.

If these are your only beefs with the 2000XL, go 2000XL... add multi-out, mixer with full of insert points and get plenty of stomp-boxes (or just buy a VS890HD...).

If you're about gritness, this should be candy to you.

I take libraries that I have formatted for Kontakt and I have Extreme Sample Convertor export the patches as AKP files. It's not perfect (missing samples sometimes), but it when it works it's pretty dope. It also converts E-MU EXB files.

the capabilities of the 4000 far exceed the 2000xl. it's a synth in itself, do your homework. this is coming from a former 2000xl owner. 4000 crushes the 2000xl, especially where punchiness and clarity of sound is concerned. not to mention it's the only mpc with a serious sampler. it's a monster homeboy.

if you're serious, cop the 4.

Got the 4000.. and I'm very happy with the purchase. I just hate making all these damn programs tho.. lol
