JJ OS Bug Reports (ARCHIVE)

I just found a very annoying Packed Programs delete bug in mpc2500_xl227.osx. Reported it already:

1. Load Packed Programs until you get "Insufficient Memory !!" screen and Wave Free= amount in Load Screen goes to 0.0MB
2. Go to Program (MODE + Pad 7)
2. Go to Program List to delete Packed Programs to free memory:

a) Delete one (or more) Program(s) with Sample Purge: No. Wave Free= amount in Load Screen does not change.
b) Delete one (or more) Program(s) with Sample Purge: Yes. Wave Free= amount in Load Screen does not change.
c) Delete ALL PGM with Sample Purge: No. Wave Free= amount in Load Screen does not change.
d) Delete ALL PGM with Sample Purge: Yes. Wave Free= amount in Load Screen does not change.

3. You cannot delete Packed Programs to free Memory, when Memory is full.

bug in INST mode

load a sample, apply it over a range, set it to MONO (default) turn PORTAMENTO on, and then play 2 pads (but don't overlap the performance). MONO behavior is not engaged...pads perform like pgm was set to POLY

certainly a small bug for me because i don't use INST pgms much but i'm away from DAW right now (visiting virginia) and so i'm using a good old fashioned SINE wav bassline inst pgm and i noticed this.

I've just found a bug in looper mode where I had no sound coming out pad 13 and 9. Reported.

I have a sample in position 001.04.87 playing in a bar loop.
now, in ONE BAR EDIT screen, I will this sample is not seen and not heard .

if we had samples in similar positions?
some of the samples would not listen.

I have found several bugs in INPUT> FX1 > window > Reverb (reverb not working )

again I have seen too many ghost boxes .

I don't know if it's a bug but the In play : and In rec : CLICK functions in the looper recorder mode don't have the same behavior as in MAIN mode (if not linked to a MAIN MODE sequence)

I have 2 different programs (drum) with the same name in 2.28xl

MPC1000 OS2XL 2.27

Going to loop recorder mode during playback freezes the MPC. Start playback (with actual programs and samples, not just empty sequence), and press MODE+PAD11. It freezes after a few seconds.

Does it happen again if you reset the MPC?

I meant after maintaining the ERASE key at start-up.
(don't forget to save the system setup by the way in order to reload it afterwards)

If you still get freezes you should send that project to JJ.

I used ERASE to reset the MPC. It's not just a particular project, I can reproduce it from an empty project like this:
Use MODE->LOAD to load a sample, MODE->PROGRAM to assign it to pads A1-A3. Turn LOOP on for one bar length, record some pad events. Start playback using PLAY START, then press MODE+PAD11. Looping recorder will open. Try to press the MAIN button to quit the looping recorder, and the MPC will freeze.
