Hi guys,
I'm currently using a mpc1000 as the master sequencer for ableton live and having a blast.
However, the poor built quality of the mpc1k is bugging me more and more (broken buttons, stiff pads, cheap tact switches, etc etc...). And only hear praises about the built-like-a-tank quality of the 2000 along with the proper pads and so on. I find the 2000 to be much better looking but that's just cosmetic.
I have to opp to get a mpc2000 in mint condition 32mb with zip at the end of this month.
My questions are:
- does anyone use the mpc2000's midi-only to sequence ableton live for example? like using mpc track1> mpc midi channel1>ableton midi channel1> ableton drumrack1, 2,3,4 and so on and so on?
- Do they work well together even though they're from different ages? I guess midi is midi but I wanna make sure.
- Also I hear there is a "track-mute screen" on the 2000. Is there a "sequence-mute screen" also?
Thanks a LOT you for your help!
