yea man, even look up a little "home mastering" guide and just try and traditional mastering methods

the reason i mention this.... is cause i've had that stage of the song really bring out colors in the eq... BUT, you have to have somethiing good to begin with (which you do)

where are you getting your sounds from initially? I'm not asking for names. just curious. I've found a few loops that im positive they've chopped up.

also, i think the drum loop needs more knock. i think the drum sound are ok, but they need more knock - as other mentioined, some eq/compression.

I also feel like the bass is drowning out the kick, its like they sharing too much of the same space. make the kick lower(as in pitch), or the bass lower(as in pitch) or notch something out.

Cyrus: I get my drums from funk & soul records, only records, and not library stuff; for kick & bass, yes, it's always a point make kick and bass sound good each in their space, I've to say that this loop I embed is not so much refined, it was only a way to show you what I'm talking about, but I think it's always the same point: I've got to buy a program in version full, like Cubase, and starting study mixing techniques!
