MPC2000XL Specifications.

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum, this is my first post (first of many i'm sure). I'm starting from the ground up with my MPC, I received it yesterday and am getting to grips with it. I can record, slice, and map a drum break to the pads then record a basic rythem but thats it so far!

What I want to know is if there is a certain page in the settings or somthing that lists the specs and equipment that the mpc has installed? Ram, Internal HD, EFX board and OS version etc.

I wanna know what it has without opening it up basically

Just to let you know, I paid £400 for a 2000XL with EB20FX, 8 outs, internal hd, Zip disk and flight case.

yes that is a deal I believe when it comes to euro prices

okay so go to the load screen, switch through the drives and try to find the internal drive

next, look at the back of the machine to see if you can see the outputs from the 8 outs

the load screen should also show how much ram you have left to fill up.. if not try using the testing hidden screen trick:

as for the eb16, go to the mixer screen, and push the F key for FXEDIT... if it shows an odd pic of a mountain with birds flying above it that means you dont have the eb16 installed... if it is installed you should see the effects such as reverb and what have you... and the ability to turn on and off certain effects.
