Strange pad behaviour

Hello,

my blue MPC still has the non-upgraded old pads, and they are still very sensitive. But there's another problem: sometimes several pads start triggering the same sample. I hit a pad a few times, and it triggers the sample of another pad. In the worst case, all 16 pads start triggering the same sample! After about 10-20 seconds, it goes back to normal.

Is this a problem with the pad sensors (i.e. it will be fixed by getting the pad upgrade)? Or is it a different problem?

i've looked a bit more into it. the problem is not that the wrong pad gets triggered. the right pad gets triggered, but along with it pad 8 gets triggered.

pad 08's trigger threshold is too high - ie it's too sensitive.
in jjos turn down the pad's note on threshold level.
mine is like that for #4

That was the problem. Actually the pad doesn't seem to react anymore, so it may be time for the pad upgrade.
