Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000
By sirreal Mon Jun 09, 2003 5:09 pm
not sure what the hell this means, but I keep receiving a message when trying to load files from scsi cdr or zip. It reads: scsi conflict #6. I have checked all of my scsi ids on all devices and there is nothing on id #6. I am clueless, but when I actually get this error message, I have a difficult time loading program or even getting the mpc to recognize my scsi devices. After I let it sit for a while and reboot, sometimes it works out fine, but this is becoming a major headache. Any suggestions or direction about what this problem could be? I am using the 2KXL if that is odf any relevance....

Thanks,
Humble

1. Determine what is causing the problem.
a. Disconnect all SCSI devices
b. Turn on MPC
c. If no error, then one of the devices is cuasing the error.
d. Connect one at time
e. Turn on.
f. Check for error
g. Repeat for other device(s).

Simple troubleshooting procedure.
