Song mode > no mute tracks??

I made a 2 bar beat on sequence 1 on 180 bpm.
I pressed [song] mode and copied 2 patterns of 1 to a new sequence on 2.. You follow me?

So I got this 4 bar beat on sequence 2, but on [mute tracks] the mutes wont work. Even in [step edit] mode i cant see
the messages for UN-muting, but it keeps un-muting.

Why is this? I dont get it.

the setting you need is on the main screen, you have to press window when you are highlighted over the mute settings, to the left side of screen near track info. READ THE FULL PDF MANUAL

There are a few ways you can use the mute feature. Problem is, you wont see the Mute info in the step edit window.

From Main Screen:

1. Cursor over to the Mute field, press [Window Button]

2. In the top block of the pop up window, you'll see "Use Track Mute Events:"
Of course that should be set to ON




Using the Track mute feature is quick and organic, but there are other ways...


1. Step Edit window, Overdub Button, then press F6 [Insert]

a. Turn data wheel clockwise until you see, Part Mixer.

b. Set the time where the mute is to happen

c. Move the cursor to the Part field to set the part to be controlled

d. Move the cursor to the Event: Field, it should read LEVEL

e. Move the cursor to the Value: field, set it to a negative value


To turn reverse the mute...

f. Follow steps A through E and set the Value to the desired level
