Man this sucks.
The program almost works flawlessly.
Has nobody else ever had this exact problem?
I have the best Jazz Drum kit but it's all AIFF files.
I am reluctant to waste my time using a AIFF/WAV converter because MPCProgramMaker is supposed to do that for you and it cost me $20.
Peace,
Heavy

iTunes will batch convert AIFF to Wave

There are a bunch of free apps out there that do it too.

OSX 10.3.4

pad187 is a great program, coz u can edit so many more of the program functions for the mpc1000. I also bought the MpcPgmMaker when I owned the 2000XL, which it has been designed for, thats why it sucks for the 1000, coz it can only lay out samples and thats it.

The MpcPgmMaker has a great browser which Pad187 lacks!!!!!!

Stephen if u read this - please man, maybe I'm doing it the dumb way but it really sux having to drag samples in from a seperate browser window - very fiddly. If pad187 had a browser window it would be ideal.
Also I like being able to drag samples onto the pads in MpcPgmMaker, instead of the seperate window on pad187. More uneccessary fiddling, coz you have to highlight the pad then drag the sample in.

Don't get me wrong I love pad187, and am so very gratefull for it's production, but a few minor changes and I'll never have to use MpcPgmMaker ever again.

Oh yeah....... I don't think asking for a small donation would be unreasonable stephen.

Cool, it's good to hear people are getting use out of the app.

Concertmate, you should check out version 1.1 of MPC Pad 187. Click Here. It supports dragging and dropping samples on the pads and will even arrange the samples by first available sample or first available pad. This allows you to assign all 256 samples to a program with a single drop!

You can even drag .wav files out of the sample well to your choice of audio editor or onto another pad.

It is a pretty slick way to assign single or multiple samples as you don't have to select a pad before assigning samples and if a pad is filled, the samples will spill over into another pad.

I'll add your suggestion for a file browser to the list ;)

type in "MPDPad 187" in google !

I´ve used also the PGM Maker but as far as i remember it can only create PGMs for the 2kXL and the 3k.

MPCPad 187 is good and the only software for the mac of this kind, but ok, its not that intuitive like Bluebox for example

where are the links to the programs ?

I just pay and download all of them and decide which one works for me.
After dropping a G on the 1k, it doesn't make sense to skimp on practically free software.

if you have 1k ,24bit is not going to work until you convert the aiff file to wave/16bit. check the sample rate also. If you have adobe audition (Cool Edit) or soundforge etc. these programs can convert aiffs to wave I do it all the time. 8)
