Sold all my hardware--MPC-, racks, synths, and never looked back. Using this along with the line 6 midi mobilizer and hook my iphone w/ the nanostudio app to play my 88 key midi keyboard while recording on nanostudio. OR i use my synthstation for BEATS ON THE ROAD.

Yeah man, that's a bit extreme. Like I said in earlier posts I love my little iOS setups, but they're a long way from replacing anything in my main DAW.

You should've at least kept the MPC to use with the MIDI mobilizer. You still can leave the computer off, and if you got a bunch of apps use the iOS device as a sound module.

yo, yo, yo.. i have a ipod touch with nanostudio, i have a lot of synth apps too. i hook my ipod to my mpc500 through midi I can use the mpc pads to control the ipod, also i can use the mpc's sequencer along with nano studio's sequencer. ive made sum dope dubstep tracks with nanostudio, u can even make decent wobbles with the synths. havent tried chopping samples on it, not sure how to even sample into the ipod yet, ill stick with my 1000 and jjos2xl for that..lol.. all and all these apps are on point and when midi'd up to ur mpc it is a whole new element added.. dont hate new things. grow, build, progress, learn, cause if you just stick with what you know and hang on to the past ur just gonna grow old..

LOL damn.... cats going hard. Sorry dudes, it was my personal choice. I have a much easier work flow now. I still have my MBP and don't even touch logic anymore for production. I just send my mixed beats to logic and record over them master and bam-done. I SWEAR by my Production apps, I no longer have a use for a MPC....... it's over kill. I'm the type of person who had it "all" mastered it and kept making music. Once I found this to replace that..... I sold that. So this and that got sold and here I am. $4,000 richer by selling my MPC, Moog little phatty, motif es, and jv 2080 rack and Imac. That's retail for all that stuff. Sorry but I came up....... while still making EXCELLENT music without a pause. If you like extra $ and a challenge. Sell you ish, invest in something worthwhile and get this setup.

@DCOOK79--It's been 6 months..... no looking back. BTW-Toxic from GMG LOVES MY ISH!!!!! DJ Tone B. Nimble----loves my ish........ Pugslee Atoms..... Loves my ish..... They all want nanostudio now. I just LOVE straight forward programs/apps/hardware which is what I have.

INFINITE POSSIBILITIES!

If that's what works best for you then more power to you! Some people get really caught up in what other people use for some reason...
