can really add a lot to a track

was listening to this song i made years ago - wondering how i acheived the groove.. then i remember how the BPM is constantly changing by about 5orso bpm throughout the track.. im sure you'll be able to pick it up

try it out, its kinda cool!

O DAMN theres some 1 bar sequences in there too..... and a 3 bar one i think

and another note -

mixed JUST on the 1k using mostly HP/BP/LP filters... and u can catch that 1k delay in there too

probably a mastertrack EQ added and overall compression aswell - all on 1k with JJOS and vinyl.... sounds better than a lot of the stuff im making these days on the computer with all sorts of EQ and FX

Dope track. Did u time stretch all the samples everytime you switched up the bpm?
That would be hell getting it done on an MP.
Tracks crazy.

yea def do it... im pretty sure i didn't play along with the BPM changes and it was JUST in the q-link while i was tracking the beat out.. if that makes sense?

i know in the middle when the beat drops out there's a bpm change thats PROGRAMMED in the sequence change.. but a lot of the changes were live w/ the q-link if i remember correctly

Dope bro. That whole Beat Treats album is hot. I would have never thought it had a varying tempo. What in the world gave you the idea to do that?

As I listen...Now that you mention it I can hear it but it's so subtle that if you hadn't said anything I would not have know what gives it the human feel that it has.

On a side note: It's good to know that there are still cats on this forum that like to talk deep about production.....so tried of all the retarded e-beef that been sweeping this place lately.

no doubt! thats the only reason im still here... actually compared to most message boards ive been on there are STILL cats here who like to talk production in a NON EGOTISTICAL way.... which is nice

(but then again... you doo have a lot of that "e-beef" lately)
