Hello,

I am trying to find a midi controller that can send a signal to "next sequence" on the MPC 1000 JJos xl. I now it's possible but I don't know what controller to buy. Ideally I would love a single button. Nothing to fancy or expensive. I am already using both footswitch jacks, so this option has to be via midi.

Any assistance would be incredibly appreciated.

Thank you!!!!

Eric

there you go:
http://www.gak.co.uk/en/behringer-ab-20 ... witch/1008

it's double foot switch, cheap and well build
you plug it into mpc and then program footswitch to change the sequence
that's it
you can use other switch (it's double) and plug it to mp, and program as punch in/overdub - very handy when you play piano and both hands are busy:)

recommended
i use one, and it's great

hmm no one's reading your question right

how would you map this command? in MIDI->'sequence change by program change' ? (never done that myself)

I believe that the Behringer FCB1010 can send ProgChange messages but it's pretty huge. their BCR2000 rotary controller has a pair of footswitch jack in the back as well - but maybe overkill.

What about Peak controllers: http://www.peak2005.com/j/5-midi-foot-controllers

I use 3 footswitches with my mpc, none of them is midi, as midi ft is bloody expensive
1 is directly plugged into mp,
the other 2 via bcr2000 - then sending midi cc:)
lovely,
if you have any midi controller (old synth, bcr2000, bcf2000, alphatrack, kentonfreak...etc)
whatever device which has ft input,
then you can plug it...
you can grab phatboy or kenton freak off ebay for few quid (thiose units have foot pedal inputs)
plus you got nice few real knobs to tweak within daw, synth or mpc

now this is funny connection -
i use behringer cv controller as a wahwah for vox tonelab (midi) and filter cutoff to emu synth
it's plugged into emu footpedal input, where it sends cc04, channel 1 to voxtonelab - wah (actually via mpc where midi wahwah is recorded;P for future editing..then it goes back as midi cc into emu where is assigned as filter cutoff
so i can play both hands and move fpedal to cut off frequencies - sweet
