Wow man....that is odd behavior. Its funny cause before you put up the video I was thinking it was something else. Thanks for the vid...now I see why youre ready to get PT. It looks like the mpc could be sending some MIDI information to Record that's causing the clip to do that..I wonder would it do the same if you unplugged the MIDI cable and press play from record?

No, it only does it when midi ran from the 4k, but in order to get that "pop" to stop from happening I need it to be midi synced other wise i realized if the timing is off even by a milla second it causes that....or so i think. Either it limits my use and abilities to drop tracks in and out and use the effects, all my mixing is thus done "in the box" then just 2 tracked outta the mpc to record strictly to transport to the internet.

From what I remember MMC or MTC sent from the mpc sends constant tempo information through MIDI. I can't remember if its MMC or MTC that does it..but basically its constantly re-locking the tempo to the mpc. This could be the problem. You may be able to sync Record by just using MIDI clock instead of MTC or MMC.

That's a trip. If I still had my Mpc I'd be better equipped to help you get to the bottom of the problem. I was reading through another thread here on the forums and stumbled upon this:

elliz wrote:I beta tested Record and it's as easy to use as Reason.
I recorded a 4bar loop from my mpc directly into Record without being synced and it looped perfectly in Record. The sound quality is better then Reason's. I also found that I could manipulate my audio easier than I could in Ableton, that's just me though.
I'm sure it wont replace Logic or Protools but if you're just into recording beats or instrumentals it's worth checking out.

I'm pretty sure what this guy did was just record the audio straight into Record without sync and resize the clips so that they loop perfectly....I know a lot of the cats on these forums use Pro Tools in the same way to build their tracks and don't even bother with syncing and some do midi sync...I guess it comes down to what works best for each person. Either way man it sucks you're having this issue and I hope you get it worked out by Pro Tools or whatever it may take. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
