i wont boo boo. i got a tecnic cassette deck connected to the receiver but it wont record the music coming out the mpcc. anybody?

as in it won't allow you to press record on the tape player?
as in it seems to be recording but upon playback of the tape there is nothing?
as in ninjas jumped through the window and are stopping you from pressing the needed buttons?

there isnt anything recorded when its played back,i got the tape deck connected to the receiver, the turntable connected to the receiver, the head phone jack of the receiver connected to the record in's of the mpc, a tascam dp-02 to the stereo of the mpc, and headphones connected to the tascam.

well run the main outs of the mpc to the record ins of the tape deck, and the stereo outs from the tape deck to the tape channel of the receiver.. **** the tascam and technic or what ever else is in the middle of your recording line.

The outs of Tascam or the MPC must be connected to the Input or REC slots of the tape deck.
Going vintage may not be your thing IMO.

Good that you got the Tape and turntable connected to the in of the receiver. The stereo out of Tascam should be going in your receiver's Line or CD input as well and the MPC's out should be going into the Tascam. On your receiver, it'll say Tape Rec, which is the output of whatever is playing on your receiver, should go to the In of the Tape deck and your tape deck will record it. So if your knob is switched to Aux, you can record your turntable, switch it to Line or CD and you can record the Tascam or the MPC going through it (DP02). Capeesh?
