thanks man.. got it for nano... now how about beat maker??.. hate to be a noob.. i like the chopping on beat maker.

The new version of Beatmaker 2 was just released and features native ipad support as well as fixing the memory issues. I will not sleep tonight.

Beatmaker 1 had a desktop sync application, Beatmaker 2 uses a FTP server (any FTP app will do). I was a little unsure about them choosing FTP, but it works very well.

No doubt Ocular, I'm really looking forward to this new BM2 version myself. Looks like they fixed everything that I wanted them to.

To bad the synth station doesn't have pads. Still pretty dope for a mobile setup.

The ipad version does have 12 pads. Too bad the ipod/iphone one doesnt

It does so......... The TRG-16 performance pads!!! Same look as the MPC--assign a sample and press it.

copped the app for my iphone, but damn. the screen is crazy small to tap on it.it's a crazy app indeed.
i guess i'll have to get that keyboard and try with that.

I feel you man. I was on Beatmaker 1 so much, I bought an iPad just to have a bigger screen, seeing anything else the iPad offered as a bonus. I don't regret it all, especially now that Beatmaker 2 is a Universal App, and NanoStudio with iPad resolution is coming up soon. I'm using it with the Alesis IO dock, and it's fantastic. I made 2 MIDI .PGM's in the MPC to control the 128 pads in Beatmaker 2.

A nice bonus with the Alesis dock is that it has MIDI over USB. So I can have standard MIDI I/O cables to the MPC, but also the USB to the PC. Then in Live for instance, I can direct MIDI from anywhere to the Alesis, really dope.

^^damn that sounds dope. I got an iPad too. I might get beatmaker 2 for that and look into the Alesis interface. U got me hyped up with this shit now. Lol

ok, so serious question.. sound quality. do you find a lack of sound quality or change of sound quality in your beats? is it transparent? thinner? compressed sounding? digital sounding? etc.....

that alesis io dock looks nice.
