recording outs into soundcard? help

Hi - i would like to record my mpc stuff into pro-tools digitally. However, since there is only one digital out, does that mean i cant separate some of the sounds into separate tracks? Or maybe i will just have to mute sounds and record the song over and over again till i have everything separated...not sure if its worth it. Maybe i should just route the 8 outs into a soundcard with 8 ins and get everything at once...anybody get good results from this? sound quality?

Thats how I do my digi work.
xcept I have 2 digi ins and I can go 2 at once.

you have two digital ins? does your mpc have two digital outs? wha?
if you meant that you use the 8 outs and run them into an mbox kinda device 2-at-a-time, is the sound quality still high? thanks for your help.

my bad for not clarifying, no no 2 digi outs on mpc. I use a second sampler I borrow just for getting samples I use in a soft sampler while making the beat(gigaS) out into the hardware realm for mixing down in CEP 2.0. I use my pc for mixing and gigasampler then when I am ready to lay down tracks for mixing, I just load all the giga stuff into my friends sampler and rip it from there, so I can save the procesor power in my pc for realtime effects and stuff when its time to actually "record"

the sound quality is good, if you get nice digital audio cables (moster or the radio shack knockoffs made in the same factory on a differnet day) its just what it sounds like in the mpc.

I wouldnt worry too much about that though. I kinda like using the 8 outs and going analog for some samples, it just matters how I feel. Try it out.
