properly delete a sample?

when i go into the trim mode i deleted some samples that i made today...
but when i go into the load mode, i see some old samples that i dont want anymore still available on the memory card to load...
but those samples do not apear in the trim mode to delete...
can anyone help?

uhhh... the samples you load are saved on your cf crad (or whatever you use on the 1000). When you load them you load them into the mpc's ram (memory). When you delete them in trim mode, you are deleting them from the mpc's memory. If you go into the load/save mode and delete the sample, it will delete the sound from your cf card, and you won't be able to load it again.

ya but my question is how to delete the sample from the load/save mode.... there is no delete function and i cant find how in the manual.
so like i go load and select the sample i want deleted...then what, window? if i do window then it brings me to my directory and i cant find a way to delete something.
can anyone help plz? im sure there is a simple way to remove sh!t from the cf card...im missin somin!

I don't have my MPC in front of me, but I keep the PDF manual with me:
There's one procedure for deleting any type of file from the CF (sample, MIDI, whatever).
In Save mode, select the file you want to delete, using the cursor keys. If you select a directory, then hit Right, you jump down into the directory so you can select individual files. Then it's just F2 to delete.

(I know I shouldn't say this, but: manual pg 83, "Deleting A File".)

yes. yes it is... just mess around and remember to save your stuff... youll figure stuff out you never new you could do just by experimenting...
