Hello!

I my first post, I had one 2000xl but I bought one mpc1000 with JJ OS2xl, and my question is if is that possible to reproduce samples from hd during sequence playback...

I want to do this, because if i'm programming new sequence and for example, don't like the hihat, i want to search through hd to find one that fits ok with rest of kit samples... but during playback to check wich one like

Is posible with JJ Os2xl???

Thanks in advance!!! :)

Nope. Is the 2000xl able to do that? If you want to do this you have to load all of your samples into flash memory

it´s not possible (yet), but here´s a workaround which works quite well:

organize your drum samples in seperate folders (e.g. kicks, snares, hihats closed, hihats open). now if you wanna change the hihat just load the folder containing your hihat samples. hit start and scroll thru your hihat samples (either in program screen or main screen). when you have chosen a sample execute the purge function to get rid of all unused (hihat) samples.

Thats what I love on my old rack S6000 - its able to preview and load samples on the fly during the playback... :-)

Nope...-you it dosn't need to have a sequencer
You have an mpc so you can hook the S sampler to your mpc and use the mpc's sequencer to control the rack sampler...
The only difference is that the samples are gouing from the rack sampler instead of the mpc but you can use the audio thru on the mpc ;-)
Second benefit of using this vintage rack sampler is that the sound quality is much much better than on the mpc. Because of that I use my mpc only for chopped samples and as a sequencer but the rest is going from the S6000....
