Problem recording notes

Hi!
I have a problem with my MPC 3000. It`s running Vailixi, just FYI
When I`m recording , hitting the pads, I hear all notes, but when playing back, some notes are missing. I do it over like ten times, and get it in the end - usually when hitting hard, but I`m not sure if that`s the reason it suddenly sometimes works.
And yes, I just cleaned the pad sensors with isopropyl alcohol because I thought that would solve the problem, but it didn`t.
Does anyone here know about this?

For what you are experiencing. The OS version would not make a difference.

Sorry to bump this thread.
I have experienced a bit more and found out that it definitely is a difference between hitting hard and pressing softly. It`s really weird, since I hear the notes either way, they just don`t record. Another thing I found out, was that in step edit, all notes record fine.
I cleaned the pads over again, and it suddenly worked fine for a few hours, but then it went back.
Anyone has any ideas....?

Pad sensors don't last forever.

Are the original pad sensors still in use?

If so they are due to be replaced, they have done 15 years service.

Ordered new ones now. Hoping that`s the problem. Although it`s really strange that I hear the notes that are not recorded. MAybe there`s a routing issue in the sensors?

I have now gotten new pad sensors and I have replaced the main board with a spare one. None of these things helped.
Rohan, you once mentioned it could be the sequence memory... Do you know where it`s placed? Maybe I could get hold of a spare part or something..

no, but you should be able to find it by looking at the panels... it is likely to be on the mainboard... just look for the chips.

Isn't the service manual available for the MPC3000 ?

yes it is. There was a thread someone made, with download links for every model available.

I believe only like... the 500, 2500, and 5000 were not available at the time.
