"Too Many Progs" error?

I don't have an MPC, I have an S3200XL sampler so sorry if this is the wrong section. But it looks like there are 1000 different programs/keygroups/sample slots to fill up along with the percentage of the memory that's free. I loaded a decent amount of stuff and I had about 80% of memory free, with a little under 500 P/K/S left to load, and it gives me an error saying "Too Many Progs/Keygroups/Samples". I'm not sure why it gives me this error when the memory is 80% free and I've got 500 P/K/S free to load.

What is the S3000 series limited to if it isn't what it says on the Load page (1000 P/K/S)?

I have not used a S series in years but if it says too many Progs/Keygroups/Samples, then you have to many Progs/Keygroups/Samples. There is a limit to how many sample, or programs, or keygroups.

Very late reply. But I'm still having this problem. It says too many progs/keygroups/samples, but I don't understand why. It still says I've got over 50% of my memory free, and 600 P/K/S left to fill up and it still gives me that error. I have no idea why it's doing that.

how many programs are loaded? how many individual samples are loaded? the fact that you did not fill the ram only means that your samples contained within the programs could have been longer (ie: they could have been filled with 5 second long sounds instead of 1 second long sounds)... but besides the ram there are only so many unique samples that can be loaded at once. For example, you may be able to load one 10 minute long sample... but you cant load ten thousand micro millisecond long samples even though the 10 minute sample takes up more ram.
