Alas....it works

I had to use OS 1.2, that was it. I tried that before, but for some reason it didnt work. Im also using a Sandisk 2GB Ultra 2 CF card.

Thanks to everyone for their help and support!

Respect to all, and happy beat making

Locotesmjr, I know I know...I tried it before (with OS 1.2), but I guess I was using the wrong CF card. Ah well, got it to work now.
Cheers again

The Addonics card works, with a Sandisk 2GB Ultra II flash card.
The Startech one probably works as well (haven't tested it for sure) as it is exactly the same component/board.

mistamouse I'm actually in the same boat as you were before, just came across this thread while searching for answers. I have the same exact CF reader too. Tried everything from switching around the ide cable to even buying a new one to be on the safe side. One guy told me that I was using the wrong CF card which was a 128mb JAMedia card...he recommended that I try using the Ultra SanDisk 4GB CF card, he said it worked for him, but I just bought one today and I still have no luck on getting the MPC to read the ATAPI..only getting FLOPPY, F-ROM, and SCSI 0-7. Tried this on 1.20 and 1.14 and I believe that I set the switch on the motherboard to Master. I don't know what else to do
