Playin 4000 files on the 2000xl

Does anyone know if you can play 4000 Drum Programs and seq on the 2000xl if you have only made programs from A TO D banks and not E and F.

i dont you would be able to cause the 4000 would use a code that the mpc xl wouldent be able to read. Im not sure about the midi file but i know you wont be able to load the sounds. I tryed with the 1k and it did work as far as loading the sounds and the same with a 4k. Look at it this way. every mpc can read the previous mpc files but not the other way around/

if i was to create a simple program on my with no effects settings, or any other settings that the 2000xl might not have, it should be able to work, right. i dont know the differences between the files, but the obvious ones. like two more banks, and the mute groups as opposed to the 2000xl's muting parameters. anyone every try. i should be able to test this out early this week. ill post my finds, and try different approaches.

i f up with my last post but you cant load 4k files in a 2kxl. I have also try this with the 1k files cause on akai website you can down load sounds and i had to use the mpc editor to just create a new program. My friend who owns a 4k sent me some sounds and it was in 4k file and i couldnt load that up in my 2kxl. Thats like somebody asking if the 3k can read 2k xl files. The 2kxl can read 3k files but not the other way around. The 4k should be able to read 2kxl files but not the other way around.
