in the main screen press shift+after/assign and change the function to tuning and select a pad.. then slide it up or down until you get it right

Or, if you don't want to change the pitch (which tuning it will do) you can timestretch it to match the tempo of the drum break, but keep the original "sound" of the sample.

I find if you put the sample on "mono" then in the [program] , [assign] tune the sample by hitting the sample every 8th note and tuning the sample, while your loop is playing on its own. Then progressively work your way down until your hitting you sample every quarter note then every half and so on.

i find it verycomplicated understanding the pieces of time stretching, say if i had an instrument that was 1.3 seconds long but my drums were 4 seconds long, how would i calculate something like that. im sure im making it more complicated than itneeds to be

got to the trim screen, select the drum loop sound and then go to the loop screen and check the Params and it will tell you the tempo of the loop (in BPM's). Then pick the other (instrument) sound and go to the loop screen and pick edit, choose timestretch, and then go to the BPM match screen, enter the BPM's you want (from the drum loop), and then you should be able to timestretch it so it has the same BPM's as your drums. Only prob is, your sample is a LOT shorter than your drums (less than half the length, according to your estimates) and timestretching it that much will f-up your original sound hardcore. Your best bet would be to make the instrument loop half the length of the drum loop, so you wouldn't have to stretch it as much. remember though, that you want to double the BPM's to make it half the size (the longer a sample is, the smaller the BPM of it's loop is)

Hope this helps. Good luck.

The easiest way, and they way I do it for 99% of my beats is just using the 16 levels function. THen if it is still off, leave it how it is, and then go to the paramaters screen and adjust the tuning either up or down a tad. If you don't believe me, check out my beats at http://www.soundclick.com/djevs
