synching MPC500 to MC202 via Doepfer Msy2

Hello to all, and thanks for the nice place.

I've some crazy headache trying to sync a MC 202 and a pmc 500 via Msy2 midi to sync conversion.

The mpc sync very fine with my other hardware in midi, even with Ableton, but when i connect a msy2 on the midi out port, no reaction from the msy2 and of course, no start message send to the MC 202. The problem is between the Msy2 and MPc. Does anybody have a solution for that issue, or did i miss something ?

make sure you have a power supply on the msy2, it will probably work then rather than using the midi power

thank you for your answer, actually, it doesn't work with power supply too, but it works well with a tr505 then midi goes to the MPC500. so my oroblem is solved
