I gotta say I agree with this. I was expecting Maschine to be at least equal in size to my MPD 32 but it's not. Maschine doesn't fit in my Mpc stand....I'm gonna have to design some sort of bracket system to make it work.

I have an MPD32 as well. It is a more robust controller than Maschine although I don't believe its pads are up to par with Maschine or previous MPCs.

Yeah I didn't like the Mpd's pads either so I upgraded to the thick pads.

actually that last one with the slant and arm rest actually looks like a real upgrade and not just cosmetic.

They do look good. Jesse Dean, the guy doing those, started with velcro attached panels. People asked for something better, and he quickly came up with a dowel/screw design that's way better. I think that's just the raised front part of Maschine flush with the panels, an armrest would be dope though. I'm betting the $70 he charges is far less than Forat's asking price. Forat, I'm sure is using better wood, but the Jesse Dean puts it at a nice angle. I'm not affiliated in any way, I just think the dude's doing good work.

I use a Rolodex laptop stand, it works very well. It was about $40, but has a nice black wood base. Saintjoe at SoundsandGear has the Rolodex all aluminum laptop stand for his. It's in all his videos, if anyone's (besides Upright ) looking for a stand.

I saw NI's website down earlier, seems to be the new thing everytime a Maschine update comes out, probably tons of Komplete 8 activations today too. But clearly they've sold a lot of Maschines, I'm not too excited about the new releases, but it's great they're still behind the platform 100%.

I`m not impressed with micro maschine cuz why would I want to work with only one knob? It seems like they cut off the top section and said there she is. As a iPad owner I am interested in iMaschine.

I'm definitely in the market for a stand. I saw SaintJoe's but I could figure out what it was thanks for the heads up. I found this one on Amazon for about $25 bucks but does it look like it's strong enough? Which model number do you have?

I don't know about a power supply but I'd be willing to bet that we'll see time stretch pretty soon. It's also missing "tap tempo"..I mean I can't seem to find it....there's really no reason not to tap tempo IMO.

They shoulda added at least one more knob!

Tap Tempo is the same button as the Note Repeat. That is, SHIFT + Note Repeat.

Awwww man,....don't know how I missed that I'm in the sampling chapter in the PDF manual (second to last chapter) and to my knownledge they haven't mentioned it yet. Thank you sir

OS 1.7 is making Maschine more attractive...but NI still hasn't addressed the sampling aspects of Maschine which need an upgrade for what I like to do. If they could swap out Maschine's sampler and implement Battery and/or Kontakt's sampler (when installed on the same system) I would be impressed.
