The ADAT expansion board is quite rare and they tend to go for top dollar if/ where they can be found.
The digital outputs are assigned through the MPC4000 software in the same way as the analogue outputs.
It provides all the advantages of digital transfer (exact copy, no signal degradation or noise) and bypasses the digital-to-analog conversion of the analogue outs.
And yes, one cable is far tidier and easier to manage than eight...
But then if you want to incorporate analogue mixers and outboard gear (EQ, filters, FX) to the signal flow the analogue outs will be more useful for some people.
Always negotiate on price, do your homework by looking at similar and expanded units on mpc-hunter.com and ebay.Any faults or damage to the machine = more room to negotiate.
If you can meet the seller with a buddy of yours and stay safe...
