one of Dr. Dre's MPC 3000 on eBay

This guy has pissed me off so I have decided to post some of my email's I've had with him.

I know the story behind the MPC because I personally know the guy that Dr. Dre signed it for and gave it to in 2002. He was an incredible piano player and an aspiring producer... and he actually worked with Dr. Dre a few times in the studio. The signed MPC was a parting gift. Dre wrote all of the major hit songs that he did on the machine as a form of motivation to take his dream of producing as well as the machine seriously. Dre also wrote the personalized note encouraging him to "Do Ya Thang." The machine was a signed gift... there is no proof other than the actual story. I am selling the machine in total confidence only because I know the story! I posted pics of Dr. Dre's signature to compare to the signature on the machine... and it's obviously authentic! Besides that, I have nothing else to offer for proof. Machine is 100% original... nothing has been altered. Good luck and thanks for your interest.

I respond this is extremely fake. I am reporting this to ebay since it's illegal to sell fake auto's and emailing Terrace Martin about your story

1. why would dre sign his own mpc ?
2. if he signed if with intent of selling it to a collector or fan he woulda signed it on the body casing where it will last forever and not the arm wrest.


now why would fake mpc be signed on the arm wrest,

1.maybe cuz it took multiple number of tries to get the signature down.
2. so it's easier to make the ink look old by rubbin it in attempt to smear and fade out to give that old effect look...cuz otherwise it would look way too fresh if it was signed on the body like it got signed yesterday since the ink would dry off right away then it dont look legit and you cant do shit with it

I remember seeing this years back. I had a conversation with Bruce Forat and I brought up this topic and he confirmed it that it was fake, because the seller was trying to sell it to him. Haha. Dr. Dre’s MPC3000’s is not going anywhere, he still uses many of them even till this day.
