TRADE MPC 60 FOR TRITON LE???

i got offered a korg triton le 61 keys w the sampling board and scsi for my mpc 60 w OS 3.10/max ram/new backlight...do yall think i should trade?how good is the triton?could i use it like an mpc and program sequences into it?

Triton's are losing value by the minute, the 60 is holding it's value. If you do the trade and don't like it, you won't be able to get a 60 with those options by selling the triton.

Plus, an mpc just kills the triton for sequencing. Most people with tritions sequence with software or an MPC. Theres a reason why.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good machine, but it's a bit long in the tooth now, and the presets are so overused that even simple editing can not save them. The 60 is such an inspiring machine, even if you discount the sampler, as a sequencer it is hard to match, plus the pads are so inviting. I couldn't imagine not using the sampler though, it's the shit.

I wasn't very pleased with my old triton le.

Would have been a big mistake.
Tritons are easy to come by, up'ed 60's that areen't dogged out that a different story.
I just dumped a Triton Le with memory and sampl option and I wish someone would have offered me an up'ed 60 for it.
The thing I hated about the Triton Le and Pro was that I always had to layer it with the ASR, ESI, run it through a filter, or do something to stop it from sounding like a Triton.
Even the stuff you sample sounds like a Triton, to some degree.
It's perfect if that's the sound you are after.
