I really dont have 140 to shell out right now...will the 4.99 version work on the 2500???
I think the 4.99 is the OS1 version # for the MPC1000.

Trust me, if you like it that much (which we all do) and you want it that bad, you'll see it's worth the money. I know how it is when times are tough and the extra money isn't there. But you may want to consider selling a few things on e-bay to get up the money for the OS. Maybe you have some gear or gadgets that you no longer use? Sometimes I find that to work for me when there's something I want and I'm too tied down with paying the bills. It's like trading in gear to me in a way, but better.
