any ideas on good drum modules to use with pads via the mpc

i am a live drummer, looking to use a few drum pads with sample sound and trigger off loops

I wonder if the Drum Kat would help you connected to the MPC.

Or perhaps the SPD range by Roland possibly the SPD-8, I bought one the other day for $200.00 N.Z.

If you are looking for GOOD live drum sounds, then go with Alesis SR16. Its a classic and gets the job done.

my drummer in my old band had a yamaha DTxpress drum module and some pads and triggers. we used it a few times when recording to send its midi out to the mpc, worked perfect. you can probably get one on the cheap nowadays. i think he was willing to sale his, but i think it got stolen too, so i dunno, i could check if you want. the triggers were nothing special, just some clip on cheap ones for the toms, snare and kick and hit had a big rubbery grey pad too.

btw, he only bought the dtxpress module, and just got some random cheap triggers and a pad from GC to use with it. i wouldnt bother getting one of the whole electronic kits unless you are getting the roland v-drums.

that sounds good . did he use the sounds from the mpc on the pads.
