Cubase as a Sound module???

Ive got my keyboard hooked up to my mpc and when i select channel 1B the signal goes to cubase; my problem is it doesnt matter which channel i choose, whether 2B, 3B, 4B etc. i can only playback the channel i have highlighted in cubase when i do select other channels it will only ever playback the selected channel, my question is how do i setup cubase and my MPC so that i can have different sounds on each Cubase channel and play them back

what version of cubase are you using?


if it is sx/sl, then you have to set up a midi channel filter.

this is easy to do, your manual can tell you how.

I also don't know how to do that, but what I do is just sync cubase up to my mpc and record the midi parts into cubase.
