Currently saving up for a new chair...just picked up the 2000xl as a backup for $350. I thought it was an ok price.
My gear:
-MPC 4000
-Yamaha HS80's(I know, I need to get these things UP.....trying to find something for that as well)
-Yamaha N12 Firewire Mixer
-Rode NT1-A
-My dad's old technics for sampling
-13'' Macbook pro for recording, sampling, and chopping samples
-Logic Pro

Don't wall mount them whatever you do. Your neighbours will get the benefit of your lovely bass. Which'll mean you'll be getting less than you should.
If that was me I'd raise em up on cement blocks or something dense like that.
Wish I had a mixer like that though. Cool!

Ya 2. The one on the right is an Inkel. It's got 10 tracks. so I use it for my MPCs 10 outs (8 assignable + Main Outs) And then into the other one from there.
That way I have enough tracks for mics and whatever else. And also because of the diffrent funcions. The Inkel has built in echo and a 7band EQ. But no AUX channels for external FXunits. The other one does.. Ultimmatley I'm aiming to get a decent maybe 16 track mixer (once I have the money for it)
Unfortunatley the Inkel (i got it off e-bay) Got damaged during transport. Three gain potis got destroyed.. Cos the fecker didn't pack it decently
It's gettin fixed though.

Word, thanks for that advice. I will probably go with a cheap alternative like you mentioned, or books or something when I swing back by my parents house. And I love this mixer man. The mic pre's are really really good quality, they give a very good sound. Another cool feature that I like is that it has built in reverb, and also a built in compressor on each track. Comes in very handy for quick compression of drums!! I picked it up "brand new(demo model)" from sweetwater for around $850-900. I am VERY pleased with it.
