yo! soo i wanted to ask if anybody knows if this zip drive will work for mpc
2000 classic ? couse im out of floppys n sick of slow loading but i don't want a card reader couse i'm an old school head.hah

No, that's an internal IDE drive, 2K classic only supports floppy and SCSI devices...

zips are bad. old school or not, you dont want a zip. they are notorious for failing.

so what are u suggesting ? CF reader?

cf reader is probably the best. if you want the old school vibe + loading times + still having to split things up into 'disks', the HxC floppy emulator is an interesting option. there are threads in the studio environment section about it if you search that forum for 'hxc floppy emulator'.

CF or what tapedeck mentioned, but they are a little pricey tho...

Regardless of the prices nowadays for CF Readers, they are the way to go for saving and loading media.
I spent too much wasted time fking with Zip100& Zip250 drives and discs which I still have plenty of. Glad i went to a CF reader back when the prices where cheap and reasonable... $38 on eBay for a Microtech SCSI PCD-47B.
