MPC 2000 compatibility

I bought..Vintage Machines download from the Akai Site.
Spent 2 days trying to figure out why my MPC 2000 wont load the pgm files included in these downloads.
Turns out the .pgm files are not compatible with the MPC 2000...this is not stated anywhere on the AKAI site..
Any convertors out there or do I have to build new programs from scratch...???

No of course Akai didn't tell you that, those fools can't even find jpegs of 60's or 3000's for the legacy portion of their website.

A guy named Alesclandre has been kind enough to share a free 2000XL PGM maker app he is coding.

I don't know if it will work for exporting 2000 PGM's, but I think it probably would. (Info may be in the thread).
I have an XL, but I think the 2000 can only use SND files. Or maybe it can read wav, but only write SND. Anyway if you need a SND convertor

MPC Editor definitely exports 2000 PGM's, but is $30. (Still a great app though). I can't think of an app that would translate them automatically though.

They really should employ someone to manage the content on their site, it has so much potential, it's a sad site for sore eyes.

magic thanks for the info...MPC 2000 OS version I have does load wavs so its really just converting the .pgm files...Ill check it out and get back to you..

ok just for info..i will need to convert the .wav files to .snd as when I load the new .pgm into the MPC 2000 it cant find the associated files if they are in .wav format..
