M-Audio BX8-D2 Studio Monitors

Anyone have these? I'm getting credited because my BX-8a's I bought 6-7 years ago broke down.. I sent them to m-audio and I think they're going to give me a credit towards a new pair. At this point the BX8-D2's are the newest (best) option they have.

what do you mean by coloring the sound? Adding color to already existing color? this can be both good and bad.. care to elaborate?

it's common that in the price range there no perfect monitor but from what've gathered they over-compensate the bass...but if you learned to mix on them and you mixes translate well shouldnt be a problem...personally I'd be looking at something you would find in a studio like yamaha's hs80m or event 20/20 and so on

ahh yeah, I always found that about the bass on my previous monitors. Thanks for the input. the thing is, they offer the credit towards a pair of their stuff..to keep you with their product I guess. So im hoping the improvements from the original BX8s are good enough. I am used to mixing with bx8s though so I guess it should be ok.

I see where you coming from, how much credit they offer you?... Other than low end they seem to be getting good reviews
