MPC3000 as Master driving MPC1000 and S950 ?

I know you can send midi CC values to the 1000 to tell it to change programs... but that would take effort to figure out, and ill never use it... but it is possible. google.

Wait, doesn't the JJOS 2KXL OS add a feature to allow the MPC 1000 to be a multi-timbre instrument?

I'm thinking about getting a MPC 1k to add to my 3k...

Yeah multitimbrality has been added in January 2011 with the release of os2xl 2.0
(os2xl 3.0 to come in October by the way)

I used to have the MPC 3000 and the 5000...

Cant you control the Programs in the 1000 through setting whichever track or channel that you want to control on the 1000 from the 3000? I had my 3000 used as the main sequencer and the 5000 was being used as a sound module to store samples and whatnot...I have switched to the 4000 now from the 5000 and 3000 but Im pretty sure that you could load whichever program that you wanted to use to whichever corresponding track and control the samples that you want to play and still sequence all that data into the 3000...

Im buying a 60 hopefully this weekend if this dude responds to me on CL...but Im going to use the MPC 60 basically like Midi Controller for the 4000 and sync it as the master sequencer to my Motif XS6...
